This project explores how product and system design principles can be applied within the constraints of Instagram to support clear communication and consistent content creation. Developed for my personal platform, Cycling with Holly T1D, the work focuses on building an accessible and engaging visual system to share experiences of cycling with Type 1 diabetes.
I designed a mobile-first content system built from reusable components and templates, including post layouts, carousel structures, reel covers, story templates, highlight icons, and a cohesive profile layout. The system was designed to balance clarity, accessibility, and visual consistency while supporting a mix of educational and lifestyle-led content.
Alongside the system design, I produced original photography and video content, refining templates in Figma to ensure posts fit naturally within an active lifestyle feed while maintaining a recognisable visual identity. The result is a scalable content framework that enables efficient content creation, clearer messaging, and consistent engagement over time.
